11th July 2014 - Cocktail Party at Worcester Museum and Art Gallery
"Just to say a big thank you to the Worcester Ukulele Club for playing last night, it really made the night, created a great atmosphere and I know the performance went down a treat with the other visitors and the museum! We did say thanks to a few folk from the club we were chatting to at the end. Jo"

It's now July 2017 and the club has well over 100 members... whilst doing a gig at the Hive recently, Pat F (a loyal fan it appears!), kindly handed in a CD of us playing in Worcester High Street taken in April 2014!!! ohhh... don't we look young!! ahhhh those were the days :-) |
Worcester Victorian Market
29/30 Nov and 1 Dec
We were banned (in the nicest possible way) from last years venue in Marks and Spencers yard as apparently our audience blocked the street, which upset the police and the local traders. This year we did 3 sets outside Huntingdon Hall and had a record turn out .

20th July 2013 - Leamington Spa Ukulele Festival
A massed gathering of uke players and bands at the Newbold Comyn Arms in which we played a small (but vitally important) part.
We're hoping that this one is repeated next year as it was great - not sure if the bride who had booked the same venue for her wedding reception thought the same - mind you, 20 free bands for entertainment, what more could a girl want

Hi Gary,
I just wanted to send you and the Worcester Ukulele Club a quick email to thank you for your great contribution to the Worcester Motor Festival last weekend. You created such a great atmosphere and people were watching and listening to you with a smile on their faces. It has once again been a pleasure to work with you!
Best wishes

30 November to 2 December 2012

With Gloucester Strings: Ukes n Friends - 24 November 2012
Worcester Uke club during our solo spot
We were asked by Terry and Mike at Gloucester Strings to play at their Ukes 'n' Friends charity evening - Thus began a trip down the M5 in some of the worst weather of the year to join over 100 uke players and their families and friends in Hucclecotes. It was well worth it.
Tudor House Jubilee Jamboree - 29 June 2012
It had to happen - (not too) forced into playing some George Formby in public - John, Bill, Colin and Liz with their "little ukuleles in their hands"
Hi John
Please thank all the "guys" on behalf of Tudor House for a great performance on Friday. You did make a lot of noise, but combine that with energy and enthusiasm and we had ourselves a show.
Everyone went out with a song in their heart and a big smile, who could ask for more!
Kind regards
Judy, www.tudorhouse.org.uk

Worcester Motor Festival - 28th April 2012
What a difference to last year (see bottom of page) not only was it 6 deg C but we had the bells of St Swithuns and a dog who though it was a judge for Britain's Got Talent to contend with.
Despite that, we did enjoy ourselves and if you were one of the many who stopped to listen to us in those conditions then Thank You.
